Mobile Apps That Connect to the Systems You Already Run

A booking, a job update or a payment taken on a phone should reach your CRM, ERP and accounts without anyone typing it in again. We build iOS and Android apps from one cross-platform codebase, connected to the systems your business already runs on.

Is This You?

When a Mobile App Is Worth Building

Mobile projects usually start with one of these problems, not with an app idea.

If a web app on a phone is enough, we'll tell you.

A progressive web app can cover many field and customer workflows at a lower cost than a store app.

Web application development
  • Field teams report work by phone, paper or WhatsApp

Job updates, photos and signatures arrive in chat threads and notebooks. Someone types them into the office system at the end of the day.

  • Customers expect to book, pay or track on their phone

They want to see the status and act on it themselves. Today they call or email and wait for a reply.

  • The app doesn't talk to your CRM or back office

Orders and customer details entered in the app have to be exported or copied before the rest of the business can use them.

  • Your current app is slow, dated or built on Xamarin

Updates are painful, reviews are slipping and Microsoft ended Xamarin support in May 2024.

What We Build

Six Kinds of Mobile Apps We Build

Pick one to see what it usually involves and how we typically build it.

For your customers

Customer-facing apps

Apps that let customers book, order, pay and track on their own, with every action landing in the systems your team already uses.

Typical examples
  • Booking and ordering
  • Account and order tracking
  • Loyalty and repeat purchases
Often built with
  • React Native
  • Flutter
  • .NET APIs
  • Azure

For teams on the move

Field and workforce apps

Apps for technicians, drivers and sales reps to log jobs and capture photos or signatures, with offline use when the signal drops.

Typical examples
  • Job sheets and checklists
  • Photo, signature and location capture
  • Offline sync
Often built with
  • React Native
  • .NET MAUI
  • Offline storage
  • Azure

For your team

Internal business apps

Approvals, stock checks, inspections and reporting on a phone, built around how your staff actually work rather than a desktop screen squeezed onto mobile.

Typical examples
  • Approvals and requests
  • Inventory and inspections
  • Manager dashboards
Often built with
  • .NET MAUI
  • Flutter
  • SQL Server
  • Azure

For what runs behind the app

App backends and APIs

The backend that handles accounts, data and business rules, so the app stays fast and the logic lives in one place.

Typical examples
  • User accounts and roles
  • Business logic and data APIs
  • Admin panels
Often built with
  • ASP.NET Core
  • REST APIs
  • SQL Server
  • Azure

For connected systems

Payments, notifications and CRM

The integrations that make a sale or update made in the app reach the rest of the business on its own.

Typical examples
  • Payments with Stripe or Razorpay
  • Push notifications
  • CRM and ERP sync
Often built with
  • Stripe
  • Razorpay
  • REST APIs
  • Azure Functions

For what you already have

Modernizing an existing app

Upgrading an app that has become slow or hard to update, including Xamarin apps past end of support, in stages so users are not disrupted.

Typical examples
  • Xamarin to .NET MAUI or React Native
  • UI and performance refresh
  • App store compliance updates
Often built with
  • .NET MAUI
  • React Native
  • Flutter
  • Azure

Approach

Data Flow First. Screens Second.

Every engagement follows the same problem-first Systems Engineering Method we use across AppPotter.

  1. Map the work and the data

We look at who will use the app, what they do in it and where that data needs to go afterwards.

  2. Decide app, web or integration

We check whether a store app, a web app or a simple integration solves it and recommend the lightest option that works.

  3. Design for small screens

Flows are designed for one-handed use, weak signal and the people who will use them daily, then reviewed with you.

  4. Build in increments

You get test builds on your own phone at agreed checkpoints, so priorities can shift before they become expensive.

  5. Test and release

Device, integration, performance and security checks, then App Store and Google Play submission.

  6. Support and update

OS updates, store policy changes and new features are handled by the same team that built the app.

Outcomes

What Changes When the Process Runs on the Right System

We agree on what to measure during discovery, so success is defined before the build starts, not after launch.

  • Before: Field updates arrive by phone call and WhatsApp

After: Jobs, photos and signatures logged in the app and synced to the office

  • Before: Office staff re-type what was captured on site

After: Data entered once on the phone reaches your CRM and ERP

  • Before: Customers call to book or check status

After: Customers book, pay and track on their own phone

  • Before: Two apps to maintain for iOS and Android

After: One cross-platform codebase for both

  • Before: An ageing app nobody wants to touch

After: A maintainable app on a supported framework

Technology

Chosen for Your Systems, Not Our Preferences

Most of our mobile work is cross-platform, with React Native, Flutter or .NET MAUI serving iOS and Android from one codebase. Backends run on .NET, hosted on Azure or AWS. Where your existing systems or team point elsewhere, we work with that instead.

Where This Fits

Part of Custom Engineering

We build custom only when an existing platform, integration or standard product can't solve the business problem.

Questions

Still unsure? A 30-minute conversation usually answers the rest.

Book a call

We build cross-platform with React Native, Flutter or .NET MAUI, so one codebase serves both iOS and Android. For most business apps this gives users a native feel at a lower build and maintenance cost.
